About Brighton Water Shoes

Brighton Beach, nestled along the southern coast of England, is a lively seaside destination known for its iconic pier, vibrant energy, and pebbly shores. I love it. But if you’ve ever taken a dip in the sea there, you’ll know what I mean when I talk about the struggle with the pebbles. Walking barefoot on those stones can be painful enough, but trying to do it gracefully with waves crashing at your feet? Forget it. That’s why Brighton Water Shoes began.

What started as a solution for Brighton’s pebbly beaches has become something much bigger. Our water shoes are perfect for so many adventures—whether it’s walking on hot sand, swimming in lakes or rivers (where you don’t know what’s lurking below!), or just lounging around the pool.

Why I Created Brighton Water Shoes?

I couldn’t find the right water shoes for myself. Some were too bulky and heavy for swimming, others didn’t have a rubber sole so had no grip, and the design options? Either very plain or patterns I’d rather not look at. So, I decided to create my own.

Brighton Water Shoes are lightweight, quick to drain, and have a grippy rubber sole that makes walking on uneven surfaces a breeze. And because I wanted them to be a bit of fun too, I designed them in bright, cheerful colours inspired by Brighton Beach: Lifebuoy Orange, Sunburst Yellow, Horizon Blue, Palace Pier Pink, Lifeguard Red, and Sea Green.

Every pair comes with a handy zip mesh bag, so your shoes can dry even when packed away.

More Than Just Shoes

Brighton Water Shoes has grown so much since those early days, and I’m so excited to share even more with you. We now offer:

• Extra-Large Microfibre Towels – Quick-drying, soft, and in the same gorgeous colours as our shoes.

I started this little brand in the UK, but now Brighton Water Shoes are travelling the world—and it’s been incredible to see people enjoying them in so many amazing places.
